Every Wednesday at MO Museum lectures about art together with Ričardas Jankauskas.
During the lectures you will learn the facts, what was created and why as well as Ričardas’ opinion about that. The main topic of the lectures will be the history of Lithuanian art since the 1950s. However, in order to understand the works of Lithuanian artists, you will hear about the earlier times as well as the Western art.
The main goal of the lectures is to disseminate the message how Lithuanian art has developed from the end of the World War II to these days.
Ričardas Jankauskas doesn’t want to show or convince the audience with one and only truth about art and how we should understand it.
No special preparation is needed – just your desire and interest to find out. Back2School lectures are open, so everybody willing to learn more about modern art are more than welcome. There is no need to prove you one truth in these lectures. The main objective is to disclose different versions of interpretation, broaden the point of view and get to know art in your own unique way.
The lectures are held every Wednesday 18:30-20:00 (in Lithuanian).
You can buy tickets to the lecture at the MO Museum’s ticket office. Price: 5 EUR.
