Family Sundays together with the theatre “Pradžia“
Every Sunday MO Museum invites to spend some time together. The museum in collaboration with the theatre “Pradžia“ has prepared a special programme and games for children.
MO Museum is open for everyone: doesn‘t matter if you are an art professional, a town dweller who is always in a hurry or a child. However, it is not an easy task to find a place with meaningful activities for both – children and parents. Therefore, MO prepared a special programme for families – Family Sundays.
According to Milda Ivanauskienė, the Director of MO Museum: “The aim of MO Museum is to help children start to like the museum from their early days and make them want to come back again. We want new cultural habits to be formed, so from the very beginning we will focus on children and we will offer activities that meet the needs of the family. You will not need to plan or register in advance, we just want you to know that we are waiting for you, just come”.
Every Sunday MO together with the theatre “Pradžia“ will be waiting for children aged 3-8 years. A special programme for up to 20 children will last for 45 minutes and will be held every hour starting from 10:30 till 14:30.
Actors, musicians and theatre educators will lead the activities for children. The special programme consists of the getting to know each other games, active games, role games, relaxation routines and creative workshops. Different activities present the museum and the exhibition for children in a different way.
“The main goal of the theatre “Pradžia” is the respect for a child. People who work at the theatre – educators, actors – have a strong sense of respect while creating the programmes for the youngest. Cooperation with MO is a very natural continuation of our activities. Creating a program for children is not only an exciting challenge, but also an honour. When we heard about this opportunity, we immediately realized that we have to do this”, – said Aušra Paukštytė, the Head of the theatre “Pradžia”.
While children take part in the activities of theatre “Pradžia”, their parents have an opportunity to look around the exhibition of the museum. If they wish, they could also stay together with their children, so they could all go to the exhibition afterwards. MO Museum has also prepared a special book for children – “MOmukas”. It is full of creative tasks for children as well as some interesting facts about the exhibition.
The activities for children are in Lithuanian.
There is no registration in advance.
