That is the Visual Thinking Strategy?
Visual Thinking Strategy is an open discussion technique created by the educator Philip Yenawine (MoMA Museum, US) and psychologist Abigail Housen, which encourages people to make up their own mind about what they see. The aim of this activity is to create a platform for unique and personal stories but also to use the group’s momentum to inform each other with relevant knowledge about the art.
In this kind of MO educational activities, by asking simple questions, MO educator develops a dialogue with all participants and invites them to observe the artworks of MO Collection and name what they see in them. These are open conversations without any prejudice.
