MO metų veiklos ataskaita 2024

2024-ieji MO buvo dosnūs įsimintinų įvykių: nuo ryškių, aktualiausius šiandienos klausimus reflektuojančių parodų muziejuje, kurias aplankė beveik 150 tūkst. lankytojų (viena jų – susižavėjimo neslėpusi Marina Abramovič!), iki drauge su Pompidou centru Paryžiuje pristatytos parodos „Lietuvos menas nuo 1960-ųjų iki šių dienų. Istorinė donacija“.

Istorinė Lietuvos meno donacija vienai svarbiausių pasaulio šiuolaikinio meno kolekcijų, aktyvūs parodų temas papildantys socialiniai veiksmai, sėkmingai inicijuoti mecenatystę plačiau įgalinantys pokyčiai valstybės mastu – tik dalis MO muziejaus 2024-aisiais nuveiktų darbų.

2025-aisiais juos tęsime toliau ir plačiau, ypatingą dėmesį skirdami švietimui, pristatydami pirmąją Lietuvoje videožaidimų parodą, o spalio mėnesį didžiojoje parodoje leisimės į amžinųjų klausimų tyrinėjimą.

Annual Report 2024 in English

The year 2024 was full of memorable events for the MO Museum: from the exhibitions reflecting the most pressing issues of today, which were visited by almost 150,000 visitors (one of them was Marina Abramović, who did not hide her admiration!), to the exhibition „Lithuanian Contemporary Art from the 1960s to Today. A Major Donation”, which was presented together with the Pompidou Centre in Paris.

The historic donation of Lithuanian art to one of the world’s most important collections of contemporary art, active social actions complementing the themes of the exhibitions, and the successful initiation of changes at the national level that will make patronage more inclusive – these are just a few of the things that the MO Museum did in 2024.

In 2025, we will continue with a special focus on education, open the first exhibition dedicated to video games in Lithuania, and explore eternal questions in the main exhibition in October. And there’s plenty more to come!
