Forever Temporary
A new major exhibition opens on October 11.
This exhibition focuses on the subject of time and eternally relevant existential questions that have posed different answers at different points in history. What is a person – a body or what is within it? What is communion – safety, intimacy, or just another form of training? What is love like – passionate, comforting, lacking? How do we work and how does work… work us? How do we tell jokes, stories, and myths? What are we afraid of? What do we enjoy? And who are we and what do we believe in? Can art help us find commonality among our differences?
Art featured in this exhibition will bring together art history and questions that are important for people today. We will explore how art creates, tells stories, ignores or even denies history, how it interacts with time and how art is capable of revealing how time changes.
