MO Museum Data Privacy Policy
This Data Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy“) applies to all personal data that you provide to us or that we collect and process for you through the services provided by MO Museum.
The Museum respects your privacy and protects your personal information that you provide to us and we collect it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains why we collect your personal information and how we use it.
MO Membership Program
MO Membership Program is a Museum Membership Program in which participating individuals receive special information and exclusive conditions to attend activities organized by the Museum or other offers related to the activities of the Museum.
In order to become a member of the MO Membership program, you must provide your name, surname, e-mail address, phone number, city, and date of birth. The Museum also records the date and time of each visit of the MO Membership program to the Museum.
The member’s personal data will be processed for the purpose of administration and servicing the MO Membership Program. Personal data will only be processed for direct marketing purposes if you give your consent. We will protect and process your personal data for the administration and service of the MO Membership Program until you are a member of the MO Membership Program and for three years after the expiration of this membership.
The basis for the collection and processing of your personal data is consent to participate in the MO Membership Program.
Museum volunteers
In order to create a community of volunteers made up of people of all ages and backgrounds, the Museum presents a Volunteer Program. Volunteers are part of the Museum team and their activities are important to the Museum.
In order to become a volunteer of the Museum, you must fill in the registration form, in which you need to provide your name, surname, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, city, date of birth, education, professional experience, skills and foreign languages spoken.
We will process your personal data for the purpose of volunteering and direct marketing (if you give your consent). We will protect and process your personal data for the duration of the volunteer agreement and for three years after the expiration of this agreement.
The basis for the collection and processing of your personal data is the volunteering agreement at the Museum (in order to conclude and execute the agreement).
Events and tours. Education. Rent
When registering for or organizing events, tours, and renting the Museum premises, the Museum may ask visitors (or tenants) to provide their names, preferred dates and times, number of participants, language of the tour, comments, information about visiting the museum, e-mail addresses, postal addresses and phone numbers. In case of rental, the following data is also collected according to the rental questionnaire: event name, target audience, event type, event scenario structure, space requirements, catering, customer information, event start/end, event preparation/dismantling, number of hours required, additional staff, technique, contacts, comments.
We will process your personal data for the purposes of Museum administration, statistics, security, feedback, assistance to Museum visitors and protection of Museum property. In the case of events, education and excursions, your data is processed on the basis of consent, and in the case of the lease of the Museum premises – on the basis of the lease agreement (in order to conclude and execute the agreement).
In the case of a rental agreement, your data will be stored for 10 years after the end of the agreement, and in the case of events, education and excursions – for 1 year.
Ticket sales
Tickets for the Museum’s exhibitions can be purchased at the Museum’s ticket offices and on the Museum’s website at bilietai.mo.lt
When buying tickets on the website bilietai.mo.lt for Museum exhibitions, the Museum collects the following personal data of you: your name, surname, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, country.
In the meantime, when purchasing tickets to events on the Paysera Tickets platform, Paysera Tickets will provide the Museum with the following of your data: email address, booking ID, booking time, number of tickets purchased, booking amount and booking payment method. Your purchase will also be subject to the Paysera Tickets Privacy Policy, which can be found at https://tickets.paysera.com/en/information/privacy-policy.
The data you provide is only used to fulfil the order. Without your permission, this data will not be used for any other purpose, will not be transferred or sold to third parties unrelated to the provision of our direct services. The Museum does not collect data on the login of buyers to payment systems. You enter the login details of the electronic banking or payment system Paysera on the websites of banks or Paysera, therefore this information is not available to the Museum.
The buyer’s personal data (specifically name, surname, telephone number, e-mail address, bank account number) is stored for 10 years from the last transaction of the sales contract. At the end of the active database storage period, personal data is automatically destroyed.
The basis for the collection and processing of buyer’s data is the conclusion and execution of a purchase-sale agreement (for the buyer to purchase tickets from the online store).
Tickets for the cinema screenings in the Museum can also be purchased at the ticket offices of the KINO PASAKA or on the website at bilietai.kinopasaka.lt (aktyvi nuoroda). If you purchase tickets at KINO PASAKA ticket offices or on the website, the General Rules for Using the Pasaka Cinema website and privacy policy, which can be found at http://www.kinopasaka.lt/lt/puslapiai/, will apply to your purchase terms.
Patreon
You can contribute to the Museum blog by becoming a patron. Those who support the Museum on Patreon will be informed every month about new and inspiring content on mo.lt: interviews, podcasts, meetings with artists, quizzes and other news and inspirations. Feedback
The Museum will handle the content and contact details of your feedback if you leave the feedback on the website in the form provided. We will process this personal data of yours in order to take into account the opinions and observations of visitors. The data is processed on the basis of your consent, which you express when providing feedback.

Virtual events
By participating in a virtual (online) event organized by the Museum, you agree that we will process your identifying personal data, image and voice, comments and other information you choose to share, social and communication platform data necessary to ensure your participation in the virtual event.
Video surveillance
Video surveillance in the Museum is carried out to ensure the security of the Museum property, protection of the life, health, property, other rights and freedoms of the Museum staff and other persons when other methods or means are insufficient and/or inappropriate to achieve the listed purposes and provided that the interests of the data subjects in the field of video surveillance are not overridden.
The image is observed in the territory managed by the Museum (in the places of access to the territory, in the territory around the building, in the places of entrances to the building) and in the premises (halls, warehouses, corridors).
Due to the specifics of working in the Museum, the image can be observed in the workplaces, premises and areas where the employees of the Museum work.
Video surveillance is not carried out in parts of the Museum’s premises where absolute protection of privacy is reasonably expected and where such surveillance would degrade human dignity (eg. toilets, changing rooms).
The Museum ensures that the video data is processed only by persons authorized by the Museum, who are acquainted with the legal acts regulating the legal protection of personal data and have a signed obligation to comply with them. Before entering the Museum’s premises where video surveillance is carried out, information about video surveillance is provided in a clear and appropriate manner.
Your personal data is collected and processed on the basis of a legitimate interest in order to ensure the security of the Museum property, protection of the life, health, property, other rights and freedoms of the Museum staff and other persons.
Your personal data is stored for 30 days from the moment the video is made.
Multimedia guide
The Multimedia Guide is a website that a Museum visitor can access using the browser on their mobile device or the Museum’s tablet computer. The multimedia guide is designed to provide the visitor with information (in video, audio, photo or text format) about the objects in the Museum.
If you wish to receive newsletters, you can subscribe to them on the multimedia guide website by providing your name, city from where you are and your e-mail address.
The basis for the collection and processing of a visitor’s personal data for the purpose of direct marketing is your consent to receive newsletters.
Filming and photography during events
Filming and photography are carried out for the purposes of the Museum’s presentation, advertising and yearbook administration.
The controller of personal data (videos or photos) collected during events or exhibitions in the Museum, which may pass on the videos to third parties who help to organize the event and carry out the advertising, prepare the presentation material. Such individuals may include promotional material developers and distributors, database software providers, database and website administration service providers, cloud service providers, and the like.
Videos and/or photos were taken during the event and their excerpts may be published and broadcast live on the Museum’s Facebook account, website, as well as in other advertising or information dissemination media.
During the events, photos and videos are made based on our legitimate interest in capturing the events taking place in the Museum and using this material for presentation, advertising and yearbook administration purposes.
Photos and videos will be stored for 5 years from the moment they were taken.
Candidates Personal Data
We process the personal data (name, e-mail address, CV and Cover Letter and position) of candidates who have sent their CVs directly to us by e-mail or through job advertisement portals in order to select candidates for the position. We process this personal data of candidates on the basis of consent. We keep the personal data of the candidates until the selection for the specific position takes place. Data is only kept longer if the candidate’s consent is obtained.
When selecting for a job position, we only process personal data of candidates that are relevant to their qualifications, professional abilities and subject characteristics. We do not collect or process sensitive personal data of candidates.
Data on the fact of the job interview that took place (candidate’s name, surname, time of the job interview) are kept for 10 years from the respective job interview.

Cookies are used to ensure high-quality and fast browsing of our website. Cookies are text files that contain a small amount of information sent to your browser and stored on your computer, mobile phone or another device when you visit a website. Surveys
When the Museum conducts surveys, the visitors must provide their age, gender, and the city in which they live. This data is not linked to a specific visitor and the visitor’s identity is not individually identifiable.
The Museum can also organize lotteries. In order to participate in the lotteries, the visitor must provide his/her name, surname, telephone number, e-mail address. This personal data is collected in order to organize the lottery properly and to ensure that the Museum can contact you smoothly after winning the prize. The basis for collecting this data is your consent to participate in the lottery. Personal data obtained on this basis is stored until the end of the lottery and for no longer than 3 years.
Data retention period
We process and store all of your personal data that we collect through the above means for no longer than is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
We will store and process your personal data (name, e-mail) for direct marketing purposes for 3 years from the opening. Please be informed that you can unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time by contacting us by e-mail mo@mo.lt (aktyvi nuoroda) or simply by clicking the “Unsubscribe from the newsletter” button, which you will find at the bottom of each newsletter we send.

Data transfer
Your personal data controller will be MO Museum (address Pylimo St. 17, 01141 Vilnius). Your personal data will not be disclosed to any person other than the Museum’s partners, without whom the services described in this Privacy Policy cannot be operated smoothly. Such individuals may include database software vendors, database and website administration service providers, cloud service providers, and so on. Your personal data may also be disclosed to government or law enforcement agencies, such as the police or regulatory authorities, but only upon their request and only when required by applicable law or to ensure our rights or the safety of our customers, employees and resources.
Consequences of non – submission
You have the right to refuse to provide your personal data, but the provision of your personal data is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, so if you do not provide your personal data, the Museum may fail to meet the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
In the case of the MO Membership Program, without providing the data we will not be able to offer you discounts and exclusive offers guaranteed by the card, without providing personal data you will not be able to become a Museum volunteer or enter into a Museum lease or purchase agreement in the online store. Also, without submitting your data when applying for a job position – you will not be able to participate in the selection. By not accepting the cookies we use, you will not be able to browse our website smoothly and conveniently.
If you do not agree to provide your details in the case of online ticket sales, you will not be able to purchase a ticket online. If you do not provide the required personal information, you will not be able to participate in the lotteries.
Data protection
We apply the security and processing requirements set out in the Law on the Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania and the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union to data processing.
The Museum shall take appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of all personal data processed against accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, and against all other forms of unlawful processing.
Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
1) request that the Museum grant access to the data and correct or delete them or restrict the processing of the data;
2) the right to object to the processing of data;
3) the right to receive personal data in a structured, commonly used and computer-readable format (right to data portability);
4) the right to withdraw consent;
5) the right to submit a complaint to the State Data Protection Inspectorate.

Validity and amendments
This Privacy Policy is effective January 7, 2021. If we change this Privacy Policy, we will publish an updated version on its website www.mo.lt . Changes and/or additions to the Privacy Policy shall take effect after their publication on the Website.
